2009 - 2010: Chaos & Order
These works explore the contrast between chaos and order, attempting to find a balance between them. The work depicts abstract spaces, often defined by a grid-like structure and inhabited by forms made up of geometric shapes.
In some pieces I created systems based around rules and then found ways to disrupt them. In other pieces I used free, sometimes chance-based elements contasted with more precise and uniform elements, which represented chaos and order respectively.
Theses ideas are still present in my current work, but I am focused on the "chaos" introduced by the hand trying to reproduce precise patterns and systems.
